Active Budget Check in S/4 HANA

Is there active Budget check (Funds Management) at GL Account and Cost Center level in S/4 HANA?

Budget check is at the commitment item for the general ledger account and at the funds center for cost center. These should be 1:1 relationships and can be manages thru FMDERIVE at the posting level and in Budget Control System for the budget assignment.

Hi,

You are mixing the terms. G/L account and cost centre are not the part of FM (Funds Management). The objects for FM are different: fund centres, commitment items, funds, etc. You can indeed create a mapping between G/L accounts and commitment items, and also between cost centres and, say, fund centres. Then, you will introduce your budget in FM and the availability check will also happen in FM, simulating the combination of a G/L account with a cost centre, if this is your goal.

I just saw your reply while searching for one of my customer requirement.

While showing the Cost center budget feature in S/4HANA GL account/ groups and Cost centers) , Customer need budget availability check for Cost centers in standard purchase requisitions and purchase orders (Which are not account assigned with category K or F).

This feature is available in Fund Management. My Customer is looking for the similar feature for budget control in Purchase orders and purchase requisition (with account assignment category Blank), but, will provide Cost center and system should check the cost center budget).
