Account members showing duplicate in my account dimenion after the Flat file load.

Hi experts,

I am facing a strange behaviour in BPC. My account dimension is showing duplicate accounts after loading from flat file to BPC. However, it shows correctly in CPMB account info object in BW.

There are no duplicates in flat file.

I have tried UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE but with no luck.

Tried deleting the complete master data and reloaded again but it still loads with duplicates. I am surprised how does BPC allow to load and process the dimension with duplicates.

Please advice what needs to be done.

Hi Srikant,

I thing the transformation file do not validate if duplicate record are exists in your flat file.So check your transformation file.

Solution is delete entire dimension member and also delete file form upload file server.load the file again using two separate transformation file for id and description.Run the package for loading the data i thing it will resolve your issue.

Thanks for your reply.

We have validated transformation file and it shows correct records without duplicate in output file. We have deleted the entire master data from back end as well front end and created a new flat file as well, it still shows same results.

Hi Srikant

Please check if the entries in the flat file have any "blank" or "space" like character associated to them-front or back. Sometimes it looks like a space but it is kind of special character. That could be the reason that the members are not being detected as duplicate.

We have checked there are no blank spaces and special characters, infact we created a new flat file and the result is same.

Check one more thing.

Are all the records in the table of the InfoObject present with Version Status = "A"? If not, then run program RSDDS_AGGREGATES_MAINTAIN for the InfoObject(Dimension) in question.

Also, execute UJA_DATA_CHECKER for your environment and let us know if there are any warnings or error.

Hello,

Do you see the members duplicated on the server side?  You can check it through RSA1.  If you don't see duplication on the server side then something on the client side is causing the problem.  In that case rename PC_NW and connect to BPC web client and open the dimension again.

We have checked RSA1 and there is no duplicate records in the server side. Regarding PC_NW, can you plese explain exactly what needs to be done.

Hi Srikant,

You can delete the folder PC_NW, then try log onto BPC again.

Hi Srikant,

Did you make your Dimension time-dependent?

If you didn't can you please provide technical name of the InfoObject representing that Dimension? Then I can tell you in what table to look for the duplicates and why they are there.

There is no time dependency and technical name of the object is - /CPMB/RTDESGK.

Can you please check what is the key of the table /1CPMB/RTDESGK or /1CPMB/BRTDESGK?

Can you see same records there as in Dimension management?

Below is the screenshot at table level.

We deleted the complete account master data inorder to try again. This time we get an error saying " Error in admin module or component used by admin module, detected duplicate member id. It is strange even though the dimension has no members.

We even see duplicates in Profit Center Dimension. We have not deleted this one. In BW, the master data is not showing duplicates.  Below is the screenshot for frontend and backend profit center table.

Hi Srikant,

Data in dimension management is not displayed from /B28/ table; it's displayed from /1CPMB/ table.

Please show content of that table. Preferable same IDs that you see in Dimension management.
