Access SAP GRC AC Archives from another system

Hello,

We have a requirement to archive GRC ARM requests and Firefighter logs from one system and view the archival files from another GRC-AC box.

Archiving would be done through-

• SARA (standard SAP Archiving) - as outlined in note 1719967
• Program GRFNMW_ARCHIVE_WRITE - as outlined in note 2040956

The second GRC-AC system would be created as an identical copy of the first. Due to a number of reasons, it cannot be used productively for 2 months. The first system would be in use during this period.

The archived data need not be accessible from front-end UI, but should be made visible to auditors. It should either be made visible from Archiving transactions in the 2nd system, or outside of SAP through standard text editors/reporting tools.

Yes this is possible since the second GRC-AC system would be created as an identical copy of the first one.
You simply need to copy the archive files of system 1 to system 2 .. or make the archives of system 1 readable in system 2. This may already be part of the existing system copy procedure.
Please consult you basis team or archiving specialist.
