3D Visualisation in SAP CPQ Configurator

Hi fantastic SAP Community,
I was absolutely excited about the 3D product visualisation within SAP Spartacus
(SAP Commerce Headless Storefront solution)

Now I would like to use 3D Visualisation/ 3D Files within the SAP CPQ Configurator. It seems that Out of the Box the CPQ can only handle normal image files.

How could I help CPQ to handle 3D files?
Would the JavaScript Library Three.js be an option?

Does someone has experience how 3D Product files could be integrated into the SAP CPQ configurator interface? What could be a good approach here?

Hi alexander-maerz

store your 3djavascript file in File Management in Addtional folder and call it in your responsive templates for 3D visualization when sales rep select Product configurator
