2 Factor Authentication for EPM

Hi Experts,

We have a requirement to implement 2 Factor Authentication for EPM. EPM should pop up a screen to enter One time password(OTP) or hard token after user login to EPM with initial pasword. I have found below threads, but these seems be related to GUI/portal.

I would also like to know if portal 2 Factor Authentication will work for EPM or not?

Hi Raghu

EPM contains a lot of products. If you are talking about BPC Netviewer version, I think it doesn't support 2 Factor Authentication & OTP at this moment.

Yes, i am talking about BPC Netviewer version.

We are using BPC 10.0 Netviewer version.

Have you already tried/verified with SAP on 2 Factor Authentication & OTP for EPM and got confirmation?

I haven't tried with SAP on 2 Factor Authentication & OTP for BPC NW because no BPC documents or guide talk about this topic. Moreover, it seems that  2 Factor Authentication & OTP need NetWeaver AS Java platform, but BPC is based on NetWeaver AS ABAP.

Hello Chuan,

Is it correct that EPM Add-in still does not support 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) and MFA (Multiple Factor Authentication)? Only note that I can find is: 2218675 - BPC NW: Two Factor Authentication for EPM

Hi jingjing.zhao2 ,

The recent EPM user guide doesn't specify any new feature about 2FA, so I believe the feature isn't released yet.
