TDF: Reavaliamos a desativação da tabela /TMF/D_REP_VERS

Olá,

Na semana passada, eu publiquei o blog post TDF: Hora de se despedir da tabela /TMF/D_REP_VERS, onde comentei que continuaríamos com a simplificação do TDF através da desativação da atividade Customizing Maintain Legal Reports and Versions – a tabela /TMF/D_REP_VERS.

Após recebermos feedbacks e sugestões sobre o nosso último blog post, reavaliamos a solução e verificamos que manter a /TMF/REP_VERS é mais benéfico para aqueles que mantêm relatórios customizados.

Dentro do escopo deste projeto, obsoletar esta tabela seria um passo extra, já que a simplificação em si já foi entregue na SAP Note 2931174 - [TDF SP14] Note 122: SPED Reports - Layout Builder Activation, A partir desta implementação, as atualizações de layout serão entregues via código ABAP, sem a necessidade de atualizar a tabela /TMF/REP_VERS – ou seja, menos passos manuais.

Ou seja: você já não precisa mais usar a tabela /TMF/REP_VERS para os relatórios mantidos pela SAP no TDF, mas ainda pode seguir usando-a para os seus relatórios customizados.

E por que queríamos desativar essa tabela?”

Porque, dentro do programa do TDF, não faz mais sentido mantê-la. Se você possui apenas os relatórios do TDF como standard, ela não terá mais utilidade. Como percebemos que nossos parceiros e clientes a usavam para manter muitos relatórios customizados por cliente, optamos por mantê-la.

TDF: Reassessment of deactivation of the /TMF/D_REP_VERS table

Last week, I published the blog post TDF: Time to Say Good-bye to the /TMF/D_REP_VERS table, where I mention we would keep simplifying TDF through the deactivation of the Customizing Maintain Legal Reports and Versions activity – the /TMF/D_REP_VERS table.

After receiving suggestions and feedback about our last blog post, we evaluated the situation once more and we concluded that keeping the /TMF/REP_VERS table is beneficial to those who keep customized reports.

Within the scope of this project, rendering this table obsolete would be an extra step, since the simplification itself was already delivered on SAP Note 2931174 - [TDF SP14] Note 122: SPED Reports - Layout Builder Activation. After this implementation, layout updates will be delivered via ABAP coding, without the need of updating the /TMF/REP_VERS table – in other words, this means there are fewer manual steps to make.

Thus, you do not need to use the /TMF/REP_VERS table any longer for reports kept by SAP on TDF, but you can keep using it for your customized reports.

Why we wanted to deactivate that table?

Because, within the TDF program, keeping it would be meaningless. If you only have TDF reports as a standard, it will not be useful anymore. As we noticed some of our partners and customers used it to keep many customized reports per customer, we have chosen to keep it.
