At SAP, we’re fortunate to have one of the best consolidation tools in our portfolio: SAP Financial Consolidation. We’re pleased to confirm that we're accelerating the development of the best features of this software in SAP S/4HANA for group reporting.

Thanks to the feedback from our Financial Consolidation customers, and as part of our "Group Reporting Roadmap Acceleration" initiative, we’re increasing our investments in GRDC (Group Reporting Data Collection). For example, you’ll be able to launch your controls from the package, enter data in multiple periods, import data directly from the package, link documents, and monitor the progress of data collection in a completely modernized UI. We’re also improving manual entries to offer you a Debit-Credit mode presentation.

For automatic consolidation operations, we’re developing a new rule engine in Group Reporting, directly inspired by Financial Consolidation, with all the power and flexibility that Financial Consolidation users appreciate so much.

For reporting, you’ll be able to create and manage your financial statements more simply with Group Reporting’s Review Booklet, enter comments at consolidated level, and benefit from integration with Microsoft Teams to streamline analyses with your consolidation team.

Moreover, we believe that AI will have a major impact on finance software. We’re actively working on integrating generative AI into Group Reporting to support AI-specific scenarios in the consolidation process, embed generative AI in the analysis and reporting of financial data, and process comments at the subsidiary and group level.
