Welcome to our blog series about SAP Subscription Billing’s new features! And as this is the first blog of 2021, I would like to wish you all, on behalf of the team, a happy and healthy start to the year
🎆
In the last weeks, three nice features made it into our delivery. Let’s take a look together at what’s new:
Allowance creation shown in subscription log
If you have set up events, you can now enable the event log of subscriptions to show when an allowance is created. The event log entry shows the creator, the identification data of the allowance, the creation date, and the processing status of the event.
To consume this event, you need to subscribe to the topic
sap/billing/sb/ce/sap/billing/sb/allowance/created/v1 in SAP Cloud Platform Enterprise Messaging.
Subscriptions API returns full payload for all simulation-enabled endpoints
Now all simulation-enabled endpoints return the entire subscription payload.
Batch creation endpoint for Usage Records API
You can now use the following new POST endpoint to create or update a set of usage records:
/usage-records/$batch
Be aware that if you want to perform this operation, it requires you to update your API scopes by adding “
usage_create“ to the list.
