You may already knew that SAP Business Planning and Consolidation(BPC) 10.0, version for both SAP NetWeaver(PAM) and Microsoft(PAM) will end mainstream maintenance by end of 2020. As always, I would strongly recommend our customers on 10.0 release to upgrade your BPC systems to 10.1 or even directly migrate to BPC 11.1 version for SAP BW/4HANA to leverage the latest innovation from SAP and keep your applications well maintained.

Of course, there are still a considerable number of customers still not decided if to upgrade or when to upgrade. For these customers, I would  remind you that here is another reason should encourage you to move: Adobe Flash Player end-of-live( see Adobe announcement back July 2017).

Both BPC 10.0 NW and MS are using Adobe Flash technology for their web client, and BPC 10.0 NW is even having all administration capabilities in the same web client using Flash too. So without Adobe Flash Player, most of daily administration work won’t be possible anymore with web client.

Both supported browsers of BPC 10.0 ( IE and Firefox)  have similar announcement posted as well.

Good news is, according to Adobe communication page,  for enterprise usage of flash base applications, customer could contact Adobe’s partner HARMAN for options.  For customers in China, there is also a local vendor might be able to help you.

For more information, please visit Adobe page.

In short, it will still be possible to use BPC 10.0 web client after 2020 with proper action from enterprise administrator.
