Date: Wednesday, October 23, 2013
Time: 11:00 am EDT/ 8:00 am PDT/17:00 CET
Duration: 60 minutes (including Q&A)

Hosted by SAPinsider, sponsored by Invoiceware International

With countries around the world, especially those in Latin America, constantly evolving their tax and electronic invoicing policies, corporate SAP® teams are left with skyrocketing support costs and constant change management requests. Constant chaos diverts both staff and funding in everything from strategic initiatives to maintenance issues. And with Mexico, Brazil, and Turkey announcing 2014 mandates, the inevitable upgrade is just around the corner.

This session examines the innovative approach that Sun Chemical is using to reduce the support and change management burdens associated with local government mandates for electronic invoicing around the world. We will explore the key regional electronic invoicing mandates for 2014 in the United States, European Union, Latin America, and Middle East/Asia.

The session will also take an in-depth look at common SAP ERP deployment issues associated with local requirements, including how internal customizations such as Pricing Configuration affect deployment, why end customer requirements cause extensive coding, and why government XML is not always viable as the commercial invoice.

In addition, join this session to hear some of the Support and Change Management lessons learned from Sun Chemical, including:

• Why the government standard doesn’t equal a standard implementation for SAP ERP users
• Common day to-day support issues caused by local electronic invoicing mandates
• The effect on a global SAP support group
• Change management - how local changes affect a global SAP System

Featured Speakers:

Aldo Magenes, SAP Analyst, Sun Chemical

Mr. Magenes joined Sun Chemical in 1995. With knowledge gained from management roles within different business units, he joined the Aurora project in June 2006 to support the implementation of SAP Sales and Distribution. After the initial go live in Canada, Mr. Magenes soon took over progressively more responsibility for managing the Global Orders-To-Cash team. Under his guidance, Sun Chemical successfully deployed SAP SD module in over 26 countries including the implementation of SAP in Latin America and Europe.

As Vice President of Product Strategy for Invoiceware International, Mr. Sprague is responsible for both product management and e-Invoicing regulatory updates.
