The starting point for our understanding and configuring ownership calculation is "How to … Configure the Ownership Manager Automated Calculations for SAP Business Objects planning and Consolidation 10.0 "

When we follow the steps mentioned in the said document, we do come across issues like UJP_EXCEPTION_050, while executing ownership calculation and for the beginners it is not very easy resolve this issue.

This document makes an attempt to explain in detail how to overcome the above issue.

Execute calculation of Group share:

However, the proper step to overcome the issue would be as follows:

Maintain the cross ownership data with the scope value as S_NONE

After updating the cross ownership with scope as S_NONE, re run the calculation for group share

Once, the calculation is run successfully, you can see all the generated columns populated with values.

Now for the same period, PCTRL value of UK has to be changed from 100% to 50%. System should re-calculate and update the percent consolidation and Consolidation Method to 50% after the cross ownership is updated.

Once the calculation is run successfully, you can see the revised value for UK.
