PaPM (SAP Profitability and Performance Management or FS-PER) has a number of useful features that is not straightforward to access or learn about. One such feature is being able to view the Execution Flow Diagram from My Activities. Typically when one clicks on the Go To button, most of the options are available but Execution Flow is grayed out.
The purpose of this blog post is to provide an example of how to access or enable this feature. This blog post is not intended to describe how to create a process template, create a process instance, or discuss Dual Control. There are a number of blog posts that go into great detail on how to execute those tasks.
From the SAP Fiori Launchpad, click on the My Activities tile.
Select your Environment and click Continue.
Select the (1) Deployed Process and the (2) Activity which should be an Allocation type.
Note: No other activity type, other than Allocation type, will activate the Execution Flow menu item.
Click on the > Go To button and select the Execution Flow.
The details about the Allocation will then show in a new window.
By double clicking on the box, the following Go To menu will appear. Select the Rule Flow Diagram box.
The flowing Rule Flow Diagram will appear in a new window. Click on Analyze to see the support for the calculated result.
In summary, the Execution Flow menu item will be grayed out unless your Process Template and Process Instance includes an Allocation type activity.
