I am creating a new item, for this item not a single transaction took place but when I am going to change the UOM group, system is generating this message "You cannot change the UoM group unless the new UoM group includes the set of conversion rules of the original UoM group. Need guidance for this

Hi,
You can refer the SAP Note 2634720 - Rules for changing UoM relationship in UoM group definition

Hope this helps,

Hi @Underdog ,
SAP Business One requires that any new UoM group assigned to an item must include all the conversion rules present in the original UoM group. This ensures consistency in how quantities are calculated and avoids discrepancies in historical data. If the new UoM group does not replicate or extend the existing conversion rules, the system will block the change.
Looks like this is being applied even when the item is a brand new one, as you described.
Additionally, have you attempted to replicate this scenario with another item, whether new or old?
BR,
Felipe
