Hello friends,
I have encountered a significant issue with Actual Costing at one of the companies that recently approached me. The problem is that the calculation of the product price in the Cumulative, Consumption, and Ending Inventory sections is incorrect. Specifically, the price of the product, which is derived from dividing the Actual Value by the quantity, is one value, but as we can see in the figure, the price in the Consumption and Ending Inventory sections is something entirely different.
Even the allocation of variances is completely wrong. The Price Difference share should be calculated as the total Price Difference divided by the Cumulative quantity, and this number should be multiplied by the amounts in Consumption and Ending Inventory to determine the share of each section. However, the system has not calculated it this way, and interestingly, the total variance has been fully distributed.
When I reviewed the calculations, I noticed that there is a long list of products in the program FCMLHELP_COMP_ACDOC_MLDOC_EXTR, and upon further investigation, it seems that this issue is due to data archiving. Now, I have a question: Is there any solution for this? I have spent a lot of time checking SAP Notes (SNotes) but couldn’t find anything relevant. Also, can the steps in FCMLHELP help in resolving this discrepancy?
