Wm transaction for partial picking

Hello,

I have been looking for days on the internet how to partial confirm an item of a transfer order with transaction LM05. I have come to the conclusion that it is not possible to do so.

I figure it that it can be possible to create a z transaction in copy of LM05 and insert in the program the fact that a TO item should not be confirmed unless the quantity picked is equal or above the quantity expected in the TO in the beginning. For example if i should pick 100 (quantity in the TO) but in the end i pick 80, i want my TO to be updated so that i have 2 lines: 1 line confirmed (with the quantity 80) and 1 line line to be confirmed (with the remaining quantity to pick of 20).

The problem is that i do not know where to start and i have no "abaper" to help me on this topic.

Is it possible? Which user exit should i use?

Please kindly guide me on the steps to follow.

Did you already look for OSS notes? LM05 partial as search term gave me 16 results. If it was not possible then SAP would just need one note to explain this and not 16.

I did not not. Some forums and collegues said so. I could not replicate the partial picking with LM05 myself.

Like my profile says i am very new to sap.

But i am willing to get roasted like this if i am learning from this...
