Without Use of Forecast MRP is working fine SAP Business One

Dear all,

Without use of Forecast , MRP is also working fine and Using Forecast MRP is also giving same result.

Why we can use forecast?  Is this compulsory to use?

Hi,

it depends on the added Forecast.
How far is it away from the reality
and settings in the genral settings (inventory/planning)
and the consumption box on document lines
