WIP revenue recognition

Dear All,

We need to change 13711100 WIP Acc Rev account in our implementation. We couldn't find where this account assignment is. 

At the moment we are seeing this account with an amount in our report. We would like to know how this amount has calculated.

Hi Dilay, 

To view the current WIP account assignment you can perform the following steps in S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition:

In your configuration environment, use the search function to open the following activity: Revenue Recognition. For more information, see Configuration Environment of SAP S/4HANA Cloud. For the Maintain Settings for Event-Based Revenue Recognition step, choose Configure. Accounts for revenue/cost adjustment, accruals and deferrals are configured in the assignment rules. For this, you will need to know, which assignment rule is used for your revenue recognition key. If you are unsure, which assignment rule is used, choose the dialog Recognition Keys and the sub structure Company Code and Accounting Principles. For example, for the revenue recognition key SPFC and for company code 1010 and accounting principle IFRS this is assignment rule COSTPOC. In the dialog Assignment Rules and sub dialog Assign Sources and Posting Rules you can find the corresponding accounts used for the corresponding sources.

Any change to this configuration needs to be carefully considered, ideally at the start of your implementation, as it will impact follow on postings. If in doubt please assess the situation with your advisory team.
