Will locking/unlocking WBS elements cause costs to move after settlement? My understanding is that it will not cause costs to move and will only prevent additional costs from being added to the locked WBS elements, but I want to make sure I am correct. Right now, I have been locking the WBS elements to prevent additional costs from being added, but it is preventing the finance team from being able to run the settlement and month's end. If it does cause costs to move, in what way? Also, is there a way to lock WBS elements to prevent additional costs from accruing while allowing for settlement to occur?
