Why the plan var cost is grey when I input KP06

Dear Experts,

  1.      When I input KP06, I input the cost for cost center which is not related with activity type, but  the plan var cost field is grey? Why?

Is it because the cost is not related activity type?

   2.      Why when i input the cost element for electricity, I can input the quantity?

    How does this realize?

Pls refer to the screenshot as below:

Thanks!

Cindy

Hi Xinling

1. Planning expenses is of 2 types - Activity Dependant and Activity Independant

Activity Dependant expense means the more your activity, the more will be your expenses i.e. the expenses Vary according to the Activity Qty

Hence, only when you plan along with an activity type in KP06, you can Plan Variable expenses

If you plan without activity type. that is considered to be FIXED expense

2. Activity Quantities are to be entered in KP26 and not in KP06

Hi Cindy

I have never used the Consumption Fields myself in KP06... As far as I know, it does not influence the Costing Process

Thanks for the help but in my case Activity column is also greyed out in KP06. What could be the reason?

Hi Xinling,

Reason for Plan Variable Costs field in grey mode:

A. It's due to plan version, you have selected 1 (plan version: forecast) to maintain the values. System will have a provision to take which cost in the version setting.

As standard practice, we do maintain only fixed cost when you planned.

B. For example if you take version as 0 (Plan/Actual: forecast) system will allow to maintain the variable cost also.

Please check your version setting.
