While Posting Customer Manual Invoice on S4 HANA Cloud Profitability Segment is Mandatory?

Hi All,

I Posted Customer Invoice on SAP S4 HANA Public Cloud by using "Create Outgoing Invoices" app. I have selected Revenue GL and assigned Profit Centre also but for each Line item system is asking for Profitability Segment. Nothing is activated from my end. My end users will add 100's of Line item in one single entry, That would be difficult for them to add Profitability Segment for each line item. If Profit Center is already assigned system should not asked for it. I have already checked this document SSCUI 102639 but it is not helpful.

I am facing below error:

Account 70100000 requires an account assignment relevant to cost accounting  

Message no. KI235  

Diagnosis  

You have not defined a CO account assignment for an account that is  

relevant to cost accounting.

o  Sales order item (for a project or cost relevant

o  Project /  WBS element  

o  Cost object (Process  manufacturing)  

o  Profitability segment  

o  Real estate object  

The posting row affected is 004, account 70100000.

Please advise what steps should i take so that system should not ask for Profitability Segment assignment.

Hi Pareek,

You have a choice: you can set up your revenue general ledger (G/L) as depicted below for all the G/Ls affected by the Create Outgoing Invoice App. This will address the problem.
