I thinking about the answer to this question. Lots of websites provide the answer B (Planning without final assembly (50) ), but I thinking about answer D, because we have hear consumption of planned independent requirements for the semi-finished material. Please help me and explain your answer.
You want to triggering-house production of a semi-finished mater al before a sales order for the corresponding finished good is received. Which planning strategy supports the consumption of planned independent requirements for the semi-finished material?
A) Make-to-order production (20) B) Planning without final assembly (50) C) Planning with final assembly (40) D) Planning at assembly level (70)

If you need to create PIRs for your semi-finished products, then you need to use strategy 70.

Hello Natalia
You can use either planning without final assembly for your finished product or a combination of strategy 20 for the finished product and strategy 70 for the semi-finished.
I would suggest strategy 70 if you have a key semi-finished product that you need to procure in advance and your forecast is created for this specific assembly.
Otherwise, if you forecast at finished-product level, it would be easier to use a strategy like 50.

Hello Ceatano,
but question is: Which planning strategy supports the consumption of planned independent requirements for the semi-finished material and is only one answer out of four.
When I used strategy like 50, I don't see consumption of planned independent requirements for the semi-finished material. Consumption PIR is at the finished-product level, Therefore, I would reject this answer, but I preferred to make sure.

Natalia
caetano.almeida I think it is a certificate question not a real life requirement.

Hello Dominik Tylczynski
Thank You for your answer, in that case, my thinking about 70 strategy was ok.
