Hello

There is a gap between the available object list provided in the helps sap portal and the migration object available in the Migrate your data app in S/4 Hana Public Cloud.

The objet Customer - extend existing record by multiple addresses seems not to be in.

Can someone tell me the object covering this needs?

Thank you

Ingrid

Hello @Ingrid_at_Applium

The migration object “Customer – extend existing record by multiple addresses” is not available in the Migrate Your Data app.

This object relies on the business function BPCUSTOMER_MULTIPLE_ADDRESSES2 (Multiple Address Handling for Customer Master Data). You can activate this function in on-premise or private cloud environments, but it’s not accessible in Public Cloud, where business functions are not customer-activated.

That’s why you might not see this migration object in your project, even if it's mentioned in some help portal documentation.

Recommended approach in Public Cloud:

  • Use the delivered migration objects (Customer, Customer – Extend by Company Code, Customer – Extend by Sales Area) for the initial load.
  • Maintain additional addresses afterwards via the Manage Business Partner Master Data Fiori app or automate updates via OData APIs.

In S4 Public Cloud, the multiple-address migration object isn’t delivered, so additional addresses must be handled after migration through apps or APIs.

Hi @Ingrid_at_Applium

I have searched in Available Migration Objects page and able to find this object.

As per help portal, Migration object Customer - extend existing record by multiple addresses is available in the approach 'Migrate Data Using Staging Tables'.

Are you using the approach other than staging table ('Migrate Data Directly from SAP System')?

Best regards,

Irene

Hi @Ingrid_at_Applium I saw that in the help document page, there is a note:

You can only use this migration object if you have activated the business function Multiple Address Handling for Customer Master Data in Business Partner (BPCUSTOMER_MULTIPLE_ADDRESSES2).

For more information, refer to Multiple Address Handling in SD Documents Using SAP Business Partner.

May I know are you already acitivated business function mentioned above?
In case you want to know more information on the functionality and configuration steps for this business function, I am attaching an SAP Note here.
SAP Note 3119364 - Central Note: SAP S/4HANA Cloud - Multiple Address Handling in SD Documents Using SAP Business Partner

Hope this helps:)

Best regards,
