What the difference between statistical reason X and Y

Hi all,

From KBA 3285153 - Sales Order Items with Rejection Reasons Are Not Displayed in Incoming Sales Orders - Flexible Analysis App https://me.sap.com/notes/3285153, we understood that setting the Statistical value X or Y it prevents showing on the app Incoming Sales Orders.

The definition of these Statistical values are the followings.

  • X - No cummulation - Values cannot be used statistically
  • Y - No cummulation - Values can be used statistically

What really means in S/4HANA cloud "Values can be used statistically"?

Our initial thought was that setting statistical value Y allows us to get the amount on financial reports but as described above, this is not the case. So we wonder what can we do by setting statistical value Y on rejection reason setup in S/4HANA cloud.

Many thanks for your support.

Best regards,

Kumiko

Hello Kumiko,

the difference between X and Y is that:

► with value 'Y' some information structures are getting updated and by that it is possible to do statistical analysis (like profitability analysis, for example management wants to know how much profit has been lost due to rejections of line items in sales orders).

► with value 'X', no update of those structures is going to happen so you can not carry out statistical analysis.

Thanks Georgia,

In this case, I really strongly wonder why in app "Incoming Sales Order - Flexible Analysis" are not made for displaying the reason of rejections Y.... Maybe this is really only for profitability analysis but it would be great to have a documentation where this "Y" is valid on which app from SAP. For a business user, sometimes the implication of the configuration is not super clear and need to be made on the real operational level meaning app name. This is a wish to SAP sharing here.

Best regards,

Kumiko
