What should be the employement status of Employees in case of 1-Sabbatical,Long Leave 2-Suspension or short Medical Leave

Hi Experts,

Please guide me in deciding what should be the employment status of employees on both these cases:

Right now we the system set up is at 1 & 0 for both the type of cases:

What should be the best practice

1-Sabbatical,Long Leave

2-Suspension or short Medical Leave

Please guide.

As far i know, when you are playing around with employment status you should consider all other areas as well, i.e Quota generation, Payroll process and etc since they are depended on the status.

Let say when you wanted to reduce the quota balance for inactive days with the help of reduction rule then "1" does not considered as inactive days in the back end logic.

Similarly in many areas they have their own importance, We should consider all of the others requirements accordingly we will have to configure the system.

Similarly it works for MSN** Features as well and IT0003 can be used only the cases temporary payroll stop i.e we will not pay the amounts in current month but later in the future we wanted to pay them as arrears else we should play around with IT0003 since it calculates the arrears from day one onwards then it is bit dificult  to adjust arrears.

Situation demands we can modify them as we required, With enhancements, Replacing with copied(Customized) feature.
