What replaces deprecated Scope Item 19C?

Greetings, we are interested to learn what functionality now replaces scope item 19C which is no longer available in 2402. Can SAP please recommend the Best Practice alternative approach we should adopt to achieve similar functionality?

You can find the latest deprecated scope items and their successors in What's New Viewer - SAP S/4HANA Cloud | SAP Help Portal. Alternatively, you can also access this information via Process Navigator - SAP for Me.

Based on the lists of deprecated scope items for versions 2308 and 2402, I couldn't find any reference to "19C". Could you please double-check the expected scope item ID or provide the process name for further clarification?

Hi @johntebbitt,

I noticed you're discussing the Private Cloud Edition. In this context, there's no need to look at the deprecated information from the Public Cloud Edition (version ID 2402, which corresponds to a major upgrade in February 2024).

For S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition, upgrades occur once a year. Therefore, the next release is slated for late 2024. As of now, the version currently available for new provisioning in the Private Edition remains 2023, meaning 19C is still in use.

Hi Fancy, I understand what you are saying about private cloud edition releases. But I am working in Presales and the procurement lead times are very long. Therefore by the time we get to close the sale the new version will be available and I am asking what replaces 19C in the next release, what should we do instead?

There seems to be some confusion regarding the status of 19C in the next release of Private Cloud Edition. Currently, there is no official message indicating that 19C will be deprecated in the forthcoming release. Therefore, "what might replace 19C" is not a question with answer at this moment.

It’s important to note that the features and updates you see in the Public Cloud Edition do NOT necessarily reflect what will happen in the Private Cloud Edition. Specifically, the scope item 19C, "Activity Management in Procurement," is unique to S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition, and is not available in the Public Edition.
