We plan to release starter pack for 9 countries with 2002 release (SAP standard roadmap disclaimer applies) wherein basic processes around sales, procurement, finance and professional services are offered with local regulations such as statutory reporting are delivered. The localization toolkit can help to develop compliance reporting, develop payment formats, new forms. You can find the details on the starter pack planned on the innovation discovery link - (refer https://go.support.sap.com/innovationdiscovery/#/innovation/901B0ED1A0641ED9BEB049723BA700E8)

We have a huge use case for adding countries that are not provided by SAP as standard.
Often these may be small or obscure countries - so probably not even on SAP's roadmap.
This tool is really needed sooner rather than later - otherwise, there is a real risk of customers going down the STE route instead of MTE.

The localization toolkit for S/4HANA Cloud leverages all partner enabling technology components including In App extensibility and Side by Side
extensibility. Find out more in the [Localization Toolkit Community](https://www.sap.com/community/topics/localization-toolkit-s4hana-cloud.html).
The localization toolkit currently enables the extension of existing S/4HANA Cloud localizations. New country creation is planned to be available in 2002.
