What is the significance of storage section Indicator in material master

Hi All,

In WM1 view of material master we provide stock removal and placement indicators to trigger the strategy to search for the bins. So what is the significance of giving storage section indicactor there.

Storage section indicator drives storage section search strategy - IMG: Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Strategies -> Activate Storage Section Search

The indicator allows to assign materials to different storage section search strategies. See SAP Help: Putaway Strategies
