Just to add to Priyank's reply--the S/4HANA EX edition uses the SAP Transport Management System (TMS). So if you've worked with SAP ABAP systems in the past, it's the same NetWeaver based TMS.

Hello,

One major difference between the Essentials (formerly Multi-tenant) and Extended (formerly Single Tenant) editions in terms of transporting changes is that the Extended edition has less frequent and optional upgrades ( biannual) , compared to the compulsory quarterly upgrade in the Essentials edition. As a result, the management of changes in this edition offers a greater flexibility in the sense that you don't need to mandatorily transport your changes to the productive tenant every quarter.
