What is the need to Replicate Rate Elements from Subscription Billing to S4HANA Cloud

Hello Experts,

We have a scenario where we need to replicate products from Subscription Billing to S4HANA cloud and along with it we have another interface where rate elements are replicated to S4HANA cloud from Subscription Billing.

Could you please help me understand the need to replicate rate elements to S4HANA cloud & why the same API is called for both Product & Rate Elements replication.

Hi Vinay,

Mainly two reasons:

1. For Subscription Billing integration with S/4HANA Cloud Sales Billing(57Z) and Convergent Invoicing(5IK), the provider contract replication is a part of the integration. Rate elements are needed in creation of provider contracts, Refer to Replication of Subscriptions to Provider Contracts | SAP Help Portal
2. For Sales Billing integration, rate elements are taken as subitem products in Subscription Billing Document Request. Refer to Replication of Billing Data | SAP Help Portal

Hello Vinay,

Currently in the SB integration solution. We only support replicated product and rate element from S4HC to SB, refer to details here: Replication of Products and Rate Elements | SAP Help Portal . For the scenario you asked, you may need to use Get API of SB , and Post API of S4HC.

I think it's opposite of what you have mentioned.

SB integration solution supports replicated product and rate element from SB to S4HC.

Please refer the screenshot attached w.r.t integration package in CPI.

I just need to understand the purpose of replicating rate elements to S4HC from SB.
