WBS Element approval

Hey all,

How do I trigger an workflow that a specific person approves the WBS Element when being used in for example an purchase requistion. Is there any way to trigger a workflow by maybe using the "Responsible Cost Center" field in the WBS Element? Or is there any other standard way of doing it?

You will need to work with a SAP Workflow developer. As Paulo said a workflow needs a triggering event to start it, once that happens the workflow executes and you can use custom code to define the agent assigned.

Hi Orhan,

There are no standard options to my knowledge, so it will be a development. PR can have a release procedure that includes the account assignment budget owner approval, but if you need a proper workflow it needs a trigger event, for example PR data saving.

I would suggest you to discuss the PR release process (PR into PO conversion) with MM-PUR colleagues. It can be quite different if you are using any 3rd party Purchasing software.
