Hi everyone. Have a nice day!

I am a newbie in this field. Currently during my study, I had a question about PS module as follow.

Hope you can help me. Thank you

【SAP (PS)】 Background: I issue the necessary product-level Production Order from the WBS, but there are Purchase Requisition and Production Order at the level of units and parts under the product, which are not directly linked to the WBS. Therefore, i recognize that i can not see the purchase actual result from WBS unless the product is completed.

*Reference: There are 5 layers in M-BOM from products to parts.

I am trying to see the cost progress for each WBS, but I cannot see the purchase actual results of child parts of product in real time from WBS. Do you know any measure to improve this situation in SAP?

Hi,

Please check your OPSV settings for Production Orders.

Since you are using Production Orders to produce the material that will eventually be consumed by the project the WBS will not see any direct actual cost until a Good Issue is posted to the WBS upon shipment. The value that is posted depends on the material master settings. The recommended method is to use standard costs. So the WBS will only see the standard cost. Any variances will be seen in production order variance postings when the production order is completed and a Goods Receipt is posted.

You can see costs as they occur in report CN41N. You can also use the Multi-Level Order Report to see material availability and status.
