Hello,
I have configured the washington Cares fund withholding in our system and it is calculating correctly. I am also testing our retro calculation test. To do this, I have processed payroll up to the last week of July on a team member before I did the tax combo configuration. The system is NOT retro calculating the taxes any input?
Also, how are you configuring or allowing team member exemption on this tax?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Carlos, as a follow up question on this topic. I have a customer tax reporter form that creates the temse with the PFML wage/hours on it and now they want me to send the exempt flag from IT 235 on the file as well for those employees that are exempt. How do I read the IT 235 exempt flag in tax reporter?
Thank you Joe

Hello Raul,
For the retro scenario, you need to make sure that you are retroing back to a pay period in which Tax Types 113 and 114 are an active formula on BSI, and also that your Tax Model setup makes them valid. Running batch tests with the results you're getting should help you in understanding the behavior the system is taking.
As per exempting the employees from these taxes, you may use IT0235 as detailed on note 3103555 (BSI: Tax Types 113: WA Cares Fund LTC Tax - EE and 114: WA Cares Fund LTC Tax - ER).
Best Regards,
Carlos
