Warehouse is missing in Item Master Data

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I encountered this problem in SAP B1.  I found out that one of the warehouses in one of my items is missing even though there is a quantity on hand in the said warehouse.  I added back the warehouse but the on hand in the said warehouse became zero while the quantity in inventory audit report shows the correct balance of the quantity in that warehouse of the said item.  When I query the table OITW, the OnHand balance is zero while OINM table is correct.  How can I correct the balance in OITW table?

Thank You,

Marlon

Hi Marlon,

You may try to use restore item balance functionality.

It is available in the menu Help.

If the problem not solve, you may try to upgrade to the latest PL of SAP B1.

You can also escalate the problem to sap support to have a fix but do not forget to perform the 1st level and 2nd level supports.

Hi,

I tried the Restore Item Balances in a test environment it fixed the error.  I'll escalate this to SAP for guidance.

Thank you all.

Hi Marlon,

It is highly possible your data had been updated manually by someone. When you add back the warehouse, the onhand balance will not be updated automatically. The item restore function may be used to get the right balance back. However, this function has to be used under SAP support guidance.

Thanks,

Gordon

Hi,

It seems that your database is corrupted.

Please check what is the result by running the following detect query :

select t1.*,t2.onhand from

(select itemcode,warehouse,sum(inqty-outqty) as 'sum' from

oinm group by itemcode, warehouse) as t1

inner join oitw t2 on t1.itemcode=t2.itemcode and t1.warehouse=t2.whscode

where t1.sum!=t2.onhand

If you get the affected items, please log a support ticket to SAP Support and get the database investigated.

Kind Regards,

Jitin

Hi Marlon.....

OINM and Inventory Audit Report are just Transactional Tables where Inventory for certain period shows.

Please check Inventory Status and Inventory in Warehouse report for such Item and warehouse what inventory shows.

If it is zero then till date that might be zero.

Rahul
