W2 Missing in ESS

For the life of me, I would think the ability to give a user their W2 would be standard delivered in the business package for ESS. We're using Netweaver 7.0 enhancement pack 1.

I cannot find the iview for W2. Where is it? Do I need to activate something?

Please check in http://<hostname>:<port>sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo for your Portal

that components SAP_ESS and BPERP5ESS exists or has been deployed - these components should contain W2 service

(depending on ESS version)

You can get the exact location of the W2 iview from associated resource object in R3 table V_T7XSSSERRES

entry --> URL of PCD page

You should also be able to see the corresponding W2 application in Webdynpro Content Administrator

The resource we are discussing is EMPLOYEE_W2REPRINT_US_SERVICE which is actually a workflow for employees to

request a W2 reprint - this is the only standard delivered W2 functionality I am aware of

I too am facing the same issue. I have access to two different ECC systems and only one instance has this service in the V_T7XSSSERRES table. The other one, although is on EHP4, doesnt have this entry.

Any idea what could be the problem?
