Verification of all the general journal entries

Hello SAP community,

We've a requirement that all journal entries posted in SAP must be verified and approved by an approver. However, users occasionally post entries using the 'Post General Journal Entries' option or through mass uploads in the 'Upload Journal Entries' app. This practice creates compliance issues, as reviewers must manually search for journals posted without approval.

We explored whether we could adjust the business roles to address this issue. Unfortunately, the business catalog that provides access to the 'Verify Journal Entries' app also includes access to the 'Manage Journal Entries' app.

Is there a way to ensure that all journal entries are properly approved before they are posted irrespective of the application used?

Dear Rishav,

Please check and confirm if the below solution works for you:-

Apps to be used:-

a) Verify General Journal Entries-New Version; and
b) Verify Journal Entries in General Ledger - For Processor (Inbox); and
c) Verify General Journal Entries For Processor (Outbox).

And the workflow to be assigned via Manage Workflows for Journal Entry Verification - In General Ledger (App ID: F2720).
