VC Material variants - Multiple Values

Greetings,

We are in the process of migrating "VC Material Variants". The documentation states that you can migrate multiple value characteristics.

How do we specify multiple values for a characteristic in the .xml file?

We have tried to fill the value fields with comma separated values and alternatively semicolons.

Nothing worked.
