Hi All,
I'm running into an issue when our team members are copying quote to quote and changing variant configuration entries as they do it. The problem is that the SD level BOM will omit some materials even though they are selected in the configuration. What I'm looking for is a transaction or process that will allow me to step into the configurator and look for the step that is not triggering correctly and causing the BOM issues.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi John,
You can use transaction CU50 to simulate your configuration models or transaction CUTRC to analyse the configuration process in (a lot) more detail. The trace enables you to pinpoint what steps are doing what during the configuration.
Kind regards,
Rick

Hi Rick,
Thank you very much, this is a very good tool. I did a comparison for the existing configuration and then running it on a new sales order line. It looks like the VC engine is reading all of the "instructions" correctly in the existing problem line and the new line but the BOM output is different. It seems to be something that pops up in some cases when copying quote to quote or order to order condition exists. Then we try to replicate the problem and can't which most likely points back to something on the SD side instead of the VC side. Have you seen this problem before?
Thanks,
John
Hi John,
Can you provide some screenshots for analysis.
