Hi experts,
I'm working with SAP LO-VC and variant routings. I want to influence the generated routing steps based on the planned or production order quantity. For example:
If the order quantity is 50 or less, the routing should include steps 1 through 5.
If the quantity is more than 50, steps 2 and 3 should be replaced with an alternative step 2a.
However, during routing explosion, I can't find any way to access the actual order quantity in the dependency logic. I’ve tried looking for system variables or internal parameters, but none seem to be available at that point in the process.
So my questions are:
Is there any standard way to access the planned or production order quantity during variant routing determination?
What is the best workaround to use the order quantity in dependency logic (e.g. by transferring it into a characteristic before routing is exploded)?
Is it even technically possible to conditionally select operations in the routing based on the order quantity?
Any help, tips, or example implementations would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
