Valuation type addition to material in-OMS2

I tried to assigned valuation type to existing material through OMS2- However It start loading for infinite time while saving. Hence decided to work from start but

Whenever I tried to create material type in OMS2 valuation type automatically getting changed hence facing challenges in PR/PO creation. It should be by valuation area in both type but not able to save it because it take infinite time to save the data. 
please suggest a way how can i tackle this situation.

Are you sure issue not because of material but some custom code put in place -- ask your ABAPer to debug the reason for bad performance.

Hello Mate,

I hope you are referring valuation type to Q/V updating otherwise it is different config (split valuation) to activate Valuation type in material master.
 
OMS2 is used to create new material type where in Quantity / Value updating is case specific.
ROH- By valuation area - Valuated materials.
NLAG- In no valuation area - Non valuated materials.

Try copy as functionality copying SAP standard Material Types for new creation.

also try changing Quantity / Value updating for existing material types after clearing the at least these prerequisites.
a. clear stock to null in both current and past periods.
b. closing all financial documents end to end like PO,SO.

Beware, OMS2 impacts MM-FI integration you have to change valuation classes of all impacted materials.

Hi Buddy, Thanks for solution. I tried the same process however my SAP application keep loading the data for infinite time whenever i tried to save the changes in OMS2, I don't know why it takes a lot of time to save it. Unable to process further because of it.
