Validation and Substitution

Hi All,

I have just finished creating the validation rule in OB28 .. However when I try to select the message no that was created , I am unable to see this message number in the Z1 message Class. Each time I go to maintain message class, I am able to see the custom message created.

As mentioned, I an unable to assign this message number to my validation rule as it does not show up in the message drop down menu.

Can any one be of assistance?

Use the report RGUGBR28 through SE38 and assign your message class to validation rule. Then your message number will be visible to assign in GGB0 / GGB2.

Hi Nara,

The message class had already been created and assigned to the validation rules. I am only creating a custom message and adding to the class.

Still not able too.

Any other alternatives?

Hi Jones,

Check whether the new message is created/saved properly. You can see in SE91. If not try creating the message again.

I am unable to see my message here but I am able to see the message when I go to maintain message class during the final validation step. I have tried again and the same issue.
