valid from date has been modifed from an ECN, but it is not valid checked from CS03

hi experts

I want to ask a question. I want to modify the valid from date on the bom header, and I searched related documents, and here is the standard solution by ECN.

I create a change master by T-code CC01, and made modification on specific object like below. the valid from was changed to 2024.01.01

 and the object is a BOM, old valid date is 2024.05.16 while the new valid date was modified to 2024.01.01 by ECN

 but when I checked the BOM from CS03, the valid from date was not modifed, and I get error below.

 on the customizing control data, I tured off release procedure, so as my understanding, it should be release automatically to production bom. 

 anybody can help me on this issue? or give me explaination on this? I will appreciate a lot. thanks in advance!

Since the valid date for the BOM is 2024.5.16, which means the BOM can be used from 2024.5.16, and the BOM doesn't exist before 5.16, so you cannot change the Valid data into before(With ECN 2014.1.1).

For you case, if you use ECN when you first time created the BOM, pls change the Valid date in that ECN.

If you don't use ECN when you first time created the BOM, I think you should create a new BOM valid from 2014.1.1, instead of changing.
