Hi,
I see many threads which are talking about the updating of billing plan in VA42. My question is to understand whether there is a way in configuration to achieve the billing plan update on line item level. When I create contract all the line items billing plan end dates are reflecting as same as Contract end date as shown in the header. Now If I change a particular line item Contract End date still the billing plan end date is reflecting the end date of contract end date as per the header. Is there a way to update the billing plan end date of the line item when we change the end date of the contract line item? I tried to achieve this using the BAPI's like BILLING_SCHEDULE_READ, BILLING SCHEDULE SAVE but it is not generating the billing dates as per the billing plan end date which I am updating using these BAPI's.
Is there a way to update the billing plan end date of the line item when we change the end date of the contract line item?
It is always better to share the screen shot as not everyone would be in front of SAP without which, it may be difficult to assist you.
By the way, did you try manually changing the date? What was the impact? If the header level Billing Plan is not meeting the requirement, you can try changing the configuration to item level.

Thanks Lakshmipathi. If I try to update the billing plan end date for a line item manually it immediately updates the settlement date according to the end date. During the creation of contract it takes the end date of the billing plan from header record end date which is fine. But when we change the contract line item end date is there a way in configuration to update the billing plan end date automatically? Please suggest. I will provide the screenshot soon.
