Using two different versions of SAP B1 Clients on same PC for patch update

Hi Experts,

We have SBO 2311 Client installed and running. Is it possible to install SBO 2408 client on the same user PC configured with different server and parallelly use with 2311 for checking purposes. If everything going well with 2408, then we can just restore running 2311 database to 2408 database on a cutoff date and start using 2408 by discontinuing 2311.

If there is any document explaining how can this be done, please refer to.

Hi Kbasher, 

The installation of two different B1 client patches on one machine is not supported. The installer will ask to uninstall the previous version as first.

Potentially you can copy and use client binaries from <SOFTWARE-PACKAGE>\Packages.x64\Client\Program Files 64\SAP\SAP Business One\SAP Business One.exe for test purposes.

Please note that the registration of libraries is not done in this option (in compared to installation) and can cause some issues for example in CR, DIAPI, Addons.
