Use Temporary Tables at Migration Cockpit during a SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition project

I would like to know if is is possible to use Temporary Tables at Migration Cockpit during a SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition project.

Hi,

the SAP S/4HANA migration cockpit creates the staging tables automatically in the HANA database.

Can you please elaborate a bit more what you want to do and why?

Hi Sybille! you are correct, "staging tables" is what I mean, and not "temporary tables". I heard that staging tables are only created in the case of On-Premise projects, that is, it doesn't work like that for migrations to SAP S/4HANA Cloud (public or private). As I haven't done a data migration project using Migration Cockpit yet, I decided to ask here.

Hi,
if you go with the Migration Approach "Migrate Data Using Staging Tables" - all the time staging tables are created on the HANA database - doesn´t matter, public, private, onPrem.
