Use of Sequence into SAP B1 / SAP Business One

Hi all,

What is the use of "Sequence" in SAP B1 OR SAP Business One?  Why it is showing into Marketing document? 

What are the benefits of Sequence used into document?

Hi nikunjmehta2290,

It was provided for GST enhancements for India localization.

For the purposes of GST, new subdocument types have been introduced for invoices and credit memos to fulfill
the requirement of consecutive serial numbers for each document under GST laws.

For these new subdocument types, there is a different numbering series. The Document Numbering - Setup
screen can be used to view and amend these settings.

Sequence also reflects the GST Subdocument type.

It is compulsory to setup the sequence module / series? Without it can we use the SAP? What is the main purpose of it?
