Hi All,
Does the Automatic Usage Decisions During Results Recording work with Inspection Points?
I setup the Automatic Usage Decisions During Results Recording (https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_ERP_SPV/250374f0514e4e0f9057066374265eba/e12a9f54762b1f57e10000000a44538d.html?locale=en-US) and checked the SAP Notes:
2556770 - Immediate usage decision is not made automatically after saving results recording;
2577738 - Immediate usage decision is not made automatically after saving results recording II;
2984856 - Immediate usage decision is not made automatically after results recording III.
I record and save the results for all characteristics (status: 5) in QE51N; the inspection point is valuated automatically using the inspection point definition (Variant 4: Automatic Valuation Based on Inspection Point Definition).
The event RESULTSRECORDED with object type BUS2045 gets stuck in the event queue with status Ready (transaction SWEQADM).
I run QA10 and the User Decision is made successfully.

Ok, seems to me that all is in good order then.
Question: Since you are performing Results Recording at Inspection Point level are you also completing the Inspection Point Valuation when you save your Inspection Results? If YES, then my expectation is that you should get Automatic UD during RR. If this is not happening, I would gather all the evidences you mentioned above and open a SAP Incident... do share the outcome, interesting challenge here 🙂

SAP gives a hint on this... QM_CC_2015_617_RR_AUTO_UD... CC stands for Customer Connection so this tells us these are features deployed as part of the SAP Customer Influence channel & initiatives... found these 2 notes that you do not mention before and there is a piece of code in this OSS note, kindly try to check if you have implemented it. The automatic usage decision is active only if you set the indicator "Automatic Usage Decision" for the business process "Quality Inspection" in Customizing under "Quality Management -> Basic Settings -> Maintain Settings at Client Level".
In addition, in Customizing, you must maintain the usage decision codes that, in the case of automatic usage decisions, are to be transferred to the inspection lots. You can define the settings under "Quality Management -> Basic Settings -> Maintain Settings at Plant Level".

In the Customizing for “Maintain Settings at Client Level”, in Further Settings the Switch “Automatic Usage Decision” of Business Process, Quality Inspection is Active.
In the Customizing for “Maintain Settings at Plant Level” in the Details for the Plant, in the folder Results Recording, in the area Inspection Points:
Insp. Pt. Field Combination: 100 Freely defined inspection point
Partial Lot Assignment: Partial lot assignment according to plant defaults values
In the area Default for Valuating Inspection Point:
Plant: maintained.
Selected Set: maintained.
General Default Code: Empty.
General Default Code Group: Empty.
Default When All Characteristics Are Accepted:
Code: maintained.
Code Group: maintained.
Default When at least One Characteristic Is Rejected.
Code: maintained.
Code Group: maintained.
The Inspection Type-Specific Settings for Plant, are also maintained for inspection type 04.

thank you for the details provided and for your pre-analysis.
As you have the queue entry and in 'Ready' status, the configuration seems to be OK. Even that you can made the UD with QA10 confirms the proper settings.
I know you have mentioned KBA:
2984856 - Immediate usage decision is not made automatically after results recording III.
nevertheless, have you scheduled the necessary background job, as suggested by that document?

Thank you for Your response.
The background jobs, SAP_WORKFLOW_SYSTEM and SAP_WORKFLOW_EVENT, are active and running. I check in SM37 and in transaction SLG1 with object '/WF/JOBS' with sub object 'SYSTEM_SCHEDULER' and with sub object 'EVENT_QUEUE'. In the log for the sub object 'EVENT_QUEUE' the number of events that were triggered are the same number of events in the Event Queue Browser (transaction SWEQBROWSER).
I also checked the authorization data (SU53) for the job users but the authorizations missing are not objects related to the QM process.
