Urgent - EKET table entries are deleted on Scheduling Agreement for SL already received

2,509

Dear members of SCN community,

I am requesting your help regarding an issue I am currently facing on scheduling agreements.

Context :

  • -Manufacturing companies in Automotive industries
  • -Intensive use of scheduling agreements for more than 15 years
  • -Scheduling agreements managed with full EDI : scheduling agreement releases are sent by EDI using DELFOR message type; and inbound deliveries are integrated using DESADV message type

Since 3 month, I am facing issue regarding scheduling agreements, for any unknown reason EKET table entries of schedule line are deleted from SAP. Line deleted concerns only past schedule lines that have been already fully received.

This issue happens occasionally in productive system and is completely unpredictable; I am not able to reproduce the same issue in any of testing system even if trying to reproduce the mistake using same data. Normally, when a schedule line is fully received, the lines becomes grey out, it is not possible to delete/change these lines in ME38 afterwards. For any unknown reason, it seems EKET entries have been deleted. Once I noticed this issue came into picture after a user aggregated quantity of future schedule line using ME38 transaction.

The consequences on the business side are huge as it blocks all purchasing and procurement activities:

  • MRP proposals are wrong
  • MD04 stock requirements list is wrong due to the fact MRP reduced quantities calculated are incorrect
  • Not possible to perform goods receipt on behalf of scheduling agreement anymore as EKBE and EKET entries are not matching
  • Important delays have been notified on goods receipt process
  • Stock reservation could not be done on time
  • Expected missing parts have not been ordered on-time
  • Increase of last minute emergency demands increasing freight cost
  • Double entries for schedule lines generating excessive stocks
  • Not possible to respect delivery dates on customer order generating customer complaint

I have already investigated a lot on existing OSS notes, especially the one covered by OSS notes 2044484. These notes are not successful to fix the problem as it does mention any option to recreate deleted EKET table entries. Additionally no changes happens recently on configuration or program side.

Currently the origin of this problem is unknown. Additionally we have no solution to fix the issues when this situation happens.

I have initiated an analysis you may find below based on Scheduling agreement 5500044003.

Scheduling agreement EKKO entries

Scheduling agreement – EKET entries

  • In EKET we get only future entries (from 2020)
  • All scheduling line entries existing in 2018 and 2019 have been deleted

Scheduling agreement – EKES entries

Scheduling agreement – EKBE entries

  • In EKBE, we see there are existing GR done in both 2018 and 2019

Scheduling agreement - MRP Reduced quantities

  • No line for MRP reduced quantities

Scheduling agreement – Overview

MD04 – Overview of stock display

  • After running MRP, schedule lines have not been created when available Qty fall below 0

Error message when performing goods receipt

  • To be able to check consequences on Goods receipt side, I have recreated a new schedule line for this agreement with below data :
  • Date : 26.02.2020
  • Quantity : 2000 PC
  • Then I have created an inbound delivery of 2000 PC
  • When I try to perform goods receipt, SAP is showing below error message “PU ordered quantity exceeded”

Please let me know if you need further details.

Thanks in advance and kind regards.
