Hi,
Our customer running a S4 cloud public edition project and will mainly use Upload General Journal Entries for theire accounting purposes. They will use the predelivered template and upload journal entry templates resulting in several accounting documents in several different company codes.
It seems like when you upload a file with several documents included the system will post the ones that are correct and the other ones will end up in error/fail. The customer would prefer that in the cases of errors no posting is made so that they can correct in the original file and then upload the same file again. I've been searching for this and checking forums but can't find anything about this. Does anyone knows if this is possible?
Kind Regards, Sanne

Hello again,
You're right sorry. I confused with the private cloud version.
In S4 hana cloud public, it's the "Upload General Journal Entries" app which is used instead.
Best regard,
Jeremy

Hello again dear user,
And thank you for asking your question in the SAP Community blog.
When using the "Upload General Journal Entries" app in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition with the standard template, the system will post the valid entries from the file and skip any that contain errors. This partial posting is actually the expected system behavior, and unfortunately, there's no built-in setting to make the upload act like an “all-or-nothing” process (where nothing gets posted if any entry is wrong).
Here’s a practical workaround :
Use the "Import General Journal Entries" app instead
This app works a bit differently and gives you more control. You can upload the file, simulate the entries first to catch any issues, and only post the file when everything looks good. That way, you can make sure nothing gets posted unless the entire file is error-free.
I hope this will help you answer your question.
Best regards,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy! 🙂
Thanks for your reply, I couldn't find an app called "Import General Journal Entries" when searching in the system or by checking the Fioriapplibary, closets is Import Group Journal Entries but that seems to be related to group reporting which our customer isn't using at the moment.
Kind regards, Sanne
