Dear Experts,
We have the below scenario.
The current productive system (8.82 PL05 and MS SQL 2005) runs in one server (SAP B1 and MS SQL). Because, we are planning to upgrade it (9.2), the database is going to be transferred in another server and the SAP B1 will be upgraded in the current one.
Our plan is to restore the productive database to the new MS SQL server and during the execution of the Upgrade wizard the SBO-COMMON will be automatically created. Regarding to the SLDModel.SLDData database will also be created automatically?
Is there any other point that we have to figure out?
Kind Regards,
Alexandros
Hi,
Yes, it will be created automatically.
1. Keep old server and DB until new server is ready.
2. Check all customized layout or reports any changes
3. Make sure attachment and picture folder follows same path in new server.

Hi
I would do in this way:
1. install SBO server components,.
2. create the SBO-COMMON database in the patch level desired and finish the whole installation.
3. Backup the production database and restore in the new server.
4. Run the upgrade wizard.

Hi Agustin,
So, if I have understood it, in the new server in which only the database (MS SQL) will be located, you will install the SAP B1 and then the upgrade wizard will be executed from the current server in order to upgrade the system and the database.
