Update processing status field of standard CDS I_purchaseorderapi01 using API or EML

Hi Team, 

I am working on workflow development in BTP-SBPA. There is a requirement to update the status of PO (PurchaseProcessingStatus) in CDS I_purchaseOrderApi01 based on workflow result. I have tried using standard API for purchase order but status field is Read-only. Is there any another way to update the status ?

Backend system is S4HANA Public cloud.
